Londres, Inglaterra.- El sudafricano Kevin Anderson venció al estadounidense John Isner en un durísimo (y muy largo) encuentro de 6 horas y 36 minutos por parciales de 7-6,6-7,6-7, 6-4 y 26-24.

Este partido superó el récord de minutos jugados en el torneo que pertenecía al partido de cuartos de final entre Rafael Nadal y Juan Martín del Potro (duró un total de 4 hrs de 51 minutos; el español avanzó a semifinales).

Kevin Anderson (RSA) enfrentará al ganador entre Rafael Nadal (ESP) y Novak Djokovic (SRB) en la gran final de este Grand Slam el próximo domingo 15 de julio.
