Hamilton cierra el Mundial con triunfo en Abu Dhabi

Lewis Hamilton voló en Yas Marina para sumarse un triunfo más; Sergio Pérez terminó octavo.

El piloto británico Lewis Hamilton cerró el 2018 con una victoria en el circuito de Yas Marina, en Abu Dhabi, pista en la que el mexicanos Sergio “Checo” Pérez terminó en el octavo sitio y en el que además Nico Hulkenberg sufrió un accidente aparatoso volcando en su auto Renault.
Este domingo se disputó la última carrera del año en la Máxima Categoría, donde Hamilton venció tras 55 vueltas en la pista para demostrar que tiene el mejor coche de la parrilla y que destaca como el mejor volante de la actualidad.

En el desafío hubo acciones destacadas de Max Verstappen, Sergio Pérez y un penoso accidente de Hulkenberg, que al ser contactado por Grosjean en un punto débil, volcó para dar dos giros; el alemán salió por su propio pie y se reporta sin daños.

Destacó también la despedida de Fernando Alonso, quien se va de la Fórmula Uno como uno de los más habilidosos, pero que no ha tenido un buen coche por lo que se ha quedado con sus dos campeonatos mundiales.

Como compañeros y en reconocimiento a su trayectoria, Hamilton y Vettel hicieron una especie de guardia de honor en la pista, acompañando a Alonso hasta que detuvo su bólido.

Al terminar la carrera, Hamilton reconoció a Vettel quien quedó segundo y que es su principal rival.

“Ha sido un honor y un privilegio competir contra Sebastian. Es muy honesto. Sé que va a volver la temporada que viene con fuerza”, dijo un Hamilton que en el podio se quitó la parte de arriba de su traje de piloto para ser bañado de champagne, a la vez que tomaba fotos.

“Él es el campeón y se lo ha merecido, ha sido un año duro y lo he intentado todo hasta la última vuelta incluso hoy. Un año largo, muchas carrera y como Lewis ha dicho lo intentaremos todo para que no lo tenga tan fácil el año que viene”, respondió el alemán.

La última carrera no la pudieron terminar Gasly, Ocon, Ericsson, Raikkonen y Hulkenberg.
